Terms of Service

1 Definitions

• "Service" means PowerMeterAPI, its website, API endpoints, SDKs, and related documentation.
• "User" means any individual or entity that creates an account or invokes the Service.
• "Content" means all data submitted to or generated by the Service, including energy-usage events.

2 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3 License & Usage Limits

We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable license to call the API within your selected plan limits. Excessive or abusive traffic may result in suspension.

4 Billing & Payment

• Plans are billed monthly in advance by Stripe.
• Metered CO₂ fees are billed in arrears and added to your invoice.
• All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

5 Data & Privacy

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any data you send.

6 Service Availability

We target 99.9 % monthly uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance.

7 Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless PowerMeterAPI from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

8 Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

9 Export & Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export laws and sanctions. You will not use the Service in violation of any embargoes.

10 Modifications

We may modify these Terms with 30 days' notice via e-mail or banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11 Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for material breach. Sections on payment, indemnity, and liability survive termination.
